ContextEntity
From MobiComp
[edit]
Summary
A ContextEntity is any object for which context information is captured and/or stored. It may be a natural, biological, man-made, or conceptual object.
Entities are registered with the ContextService by providing a name, type, description and, optionally, the observer identifier. The latter is required because only "active" entities (devices and people) can perform the registration. "Passive" entities always have to be registered by another entity (actor). The same is true when a ContextElement is put into the store. A person or device can assert their own context or can assert context about a passive entity.
